Material experimentation has always been part of La Rosa’s approach. While mannequins remain at the core of the company’s work, the know-how developed over time allows the team to explore different applications, extending artisanal expertise and design sensitivity beyond the traditional boundaries of display production.

Polycarbonate panels are the result of this ongoing research. By shaping the material by hand, it becomes possible to create surfaces that interact dynamically with light, generating depth, transparency and reflections that change according to the surrounding environment and viewing angle.

A key aspect of this process lies in the direct mixing of pigments within the material itself. This technique creates unexpected and unrepeatable colour gradients, turning each panel into a unique visual element. The outcome is not only technical, but expressive: surfaces where colour appears to move through the material, creating almost organic visual effects.

This experimental freedom makes polycarbonate panels suitable for a wide range of contexts, from interior design and installations to retail environments and exhibition spaces. They can function as decorative surfaces, partitions or scenographic elements, contributing to the creation of spaces with a strong visual identity.

More than a material exercise, this approach reflects the way La Rosa interprets its work: not as a production limited to mannequins, but as an ongoing exploration of the expressive possibilities of materials and form.

For further information about finishes, colours and project applications, the La Rosa team will be pleased to assist.
